I was living with a bully for a roommate. He verbally abused and occasionally threatened me. I obtained a temporary restraining order against him recently. He has since moved out, although not in good faith as he owes plenty of money in back rent and took the keys.
Our court date for a permanent order is in a few days. His live-in girlfriend will be lying for him and he is pretty slick himself.
I would be glad that he has moved out, but now I need to sue him for the money and don't ever want him coming back to harass me about that. His name is on the lease so he has all rights to enter the apartment. How do I convince the judge that I need a restraining order? And I cannot ask for a no-contact order because I need to contact him through the pro se courts, formal letters of demand, or a mediator for settlement of the rental issue.
