Getting Married? Age Requirements

I would like to know if i was to get married, or since we want to get married i'm 17 and he's 20 We have been together for 2 years, and yes my mom knows about us and is okay with it. He came to the U.S. about 4 and a half years ago, illegally. He did not get a permit or anything like that, if we were to get married right now would we be able to get him in the process of fixing papers? OR would i have to be 18 in order to get that process started I was born in California, how long would this process take and what would we need in order to get it done. how much (Aprox.) would we need? Also i talked to my mom about getting married but we havn't gone much into that subject, if she was to not want to sign what could we do?

Would getting pregnant be a good option to not need her permision? I will turn 18 next year.

You do realize that in order to have him become a citizen, he'll have to return to his home country and apply from there, right?

How do you feel about living where ever that is until the application process is complete?

I was afraid to here that..he has gotten a couple of tickets but has paid them all off. Does this help at all? I would like to go to college but i am willing to wait if it is necessary. Do you know how long this process would take and where would we start? and shoul;d we get married here or over in his country?

He's going to need to start by returning home and STAYING there until he gets permission to enter the country legally. As for how long the process takes? Depends on where he's from, but in most accounts, I've heard years....

and yes, leaving is necessary. The feds aren't giving out amnesty at this point.

My aunt fixed papers in houston,TX with her husband and she did not leave the country and also came illegally?? Even if my boyfriend hasn't commited any crimes or been in jail before?

Perhaps you should peruse the ICE website, or watch the news and pay attention to the current state of immigration reform.

And then, you're going to have to be able to sponsor your spouse. Do you have the income in order to do that? That is, to satisfy USCIS?

Okay, and no i don't BUT i kind of have a small iniciative on the whole immigration process and all that because my mother is also illegal and my brother that is 21 is in the process of getting her paper in fix, he works at a restaurant with minimum wage, but they have a sponsor which is my cousin thats what the lawyer told them but they havn't filled any paperwork because moneywise they don't have enough to pay the lawyer yet

I have started my life i have scholarships, i already go to a technical college and i go to UCD and the Aurora Community College so im pretty out about what i am going to do ok! And im going to graduate valedictorian, i have my license to be an accountant from ACC so dont jugdge people and he's not fu***** stealing americans jobs ok americans are lazy period. He's actually doing YOUR job for a fu***** low pay compared to what he should get payed so don't come here with that bs with me i was raised here and im proud but people like you make me want to hate this country but i don't and people like him make better decedions than idiots like you who feel like anwsering questions and being so rude about it. It's not a damn tantrum i just don't see why everybody can be nice about something??? Look, Ms PottyMouth little brat, your Darling Boyfriend will have to leave the country.

This will trigger an automatic bar from reentering.

Then in order to have that bar removed, you will have to file a waiver. And in order to satisfy those waiver requirements you'll have to climb a few bureaucratic mountains of red tape.

I expect to see you back in here a couple of years asking how to terminate your Darling Boyfriend's parental rights because he dumped you when he found out you were pregnant.

(He'll then of course turn into the devil over the space of around 3 pages).

If you are the best in your school, we are in a world of hurt! Your English skills leave a lot to be desired. I would never consider you to be qualified for much more than janitorial work based on the attention to detail in your posts; an occasional typo is understandable but not the number of errors in your postings.

You want to get pregnant, and you are still a child. How do you expect to raise this baby when you have no skills and a husband who cannot work legally?

As for your family issues, I am out of words to convey my disgust. I consider illegal entry into the US to be a crime.

The so called "lazy Americans" you refer to have paid for and made possible all you have and created the country in which you want to have your illegal boyfriend live. If you dislike us so much, go somewhere else where you will not have to deal with people in their own country.
