My father just recently moved to Hawaii, U.S.A. and when he shipped his computer over there it got damaged. Luckily, he put insurance on it so they had to repair it. When he found one person to repair the computer for him, he came and picked it up right away and to our understanding proceeded to repair what was wrong with it. shortly after he picked it up he called and told him what was wrong with it and let him know how he was going to repair it, and told him he was returning the computer the next week. the day before he was supposed to have the computer back in his possesion, my father recieved another call from the computer repairman saying that he found someother pieces that were damaged. my father being the understandable man that he is agreed. that was 4 months ago and ever since then he has recieved numerous phone calls saying that the repairman has found another damaged piece and another. just recently my father started getting annoyed and asked him what is in it now. he relayed it back to me, because i build computers as well and know what his had in it to begin with because i am the one who built it, and said that the repairman told him that he now has lost a hard drive and will not replace it. this hard drive in particular is fairly large and cost almost $200. from what my father has told me he has replaced parts that "are damaged" with parts that aren't as good a quality.
My question is, is there anything we can do to receive the computer back promptly with the exact same pieces inside as what it had to begin with?
