My fiance bought me tons of jewelry while we dated, he also bought furniture, a grill, odds and ends, etc. If we break up, is he entitled to get all this back, he gave it all to me on his own, as gifts. He said he'll take me to court? I gave him his engagement ring back. P.S. - He was going through divorce while he gave me all this. His wife didn't know about none of it. He is still not legally divorced. What should I do to protect myself? Help!

he can take you to small claims court. of course, if he isn't divorced yet - this is great ammunition for his wife's attorney.

you could be responsible for returning the items to him. if you sell the items, he could get the value of the items in a cash settlement.

are these just items that you could not live without?
