My girlfriend lives in Missouri and has been separated for 5 years. I live in Ohio. She started the divorce process 5 months ago when I came into the picture. She wants to move to Ohio and live with me and get married when her divorce is final.
Are we jeopardizing the divorce if she relocates prior to marriage?
She has an 8 year old boy that would come with her. She also has a 14 year old female that wants to live with her father. She and the father plan to let the daughter do just that.
The father has had girlfriends the whole marriage. He has a home in Missouria and has a 'room mate' there(actually a girlfriend of 10 years). But, he is in the US Army and lives in Louisiana and lives with another woman there.
What a mess huh?
My girlfriend and I go back 20 years. I was told by her sister that she was single again. So I contacted her and initiated this relationship. I made 3 trips to Missouri to cement the relationship and she came up here 1 time to see this area. Was that a mistake? Are there legal ramifications of us making those visits?
