A lady ran a stop sign and I hit her. The police came to the scene, gave each of us a blue form, told us to exchange information and left. She showed me her driver license but never her insurance card. She simply read the policy number off to me and the other information I requested. When I contacted her insurance company, I was told that the policy lapsed Feb. 2000 for non-payment. As well, the address on her driver license is not her address (though I now know where she lives). I have UM coverage and my insurance is handling the claim (or at least, they are suppose to be but not doing a very good job of it. What are my options?

Do you see that writing in RED, above? Without a State name, we can't even attempt to assist you, if we're even able to assist you at all. Laws are different everywhere.
