Give Child Back to Parents in MA? follow-up
The parents never did lose legal custody of any of the children. The other 4 (one went to bio-father) have been in homes who want to adopt them but I do not think this has happened for the very reason that the rights have not been terminated. They do not however have visits with the other children who remain in foster homes through DSS. Another thought - can she somehow file to become responsible for herself, become an adult at age 17 yrs and 2mos? Then she can live anywhere she wants! She thinks she is an adult so why not rush the game of life and give the opportunity 10 mos in advance! I am all for it.
