dude, come back and ask this question when the baby is almost here. Being 1 week pg is impossible to know. Pg test don't show your pg until 2 weeks after a missed period.

I think that you need to read up a little on biology before believing she is one week pregnant with your child. If this is your child, plan on paying support! It is not as simple as just giving up your parental rights. Use the search feature of this forum and you will see what I am talking about.

Wrong, there are early response HPT's that can detect pregnancy 4 days before a missed period in approximately 63% of women tested and 93% 2 days early.

You will have to wait until the baby is born to test for DNA unless there is a medical reason. Don't be surprised if she "Miscarries" But if she is pregnant petition the ocurt to establish paternity and do a DNA test.

rmet, 4 days before a missed period still does not match one week of pg. I've also taking the EPT and I could never really tell for sure(too faint) until a good 2 weeks a few days later I was pg. I really don't think anyone can really confirm really good till 2 weeks after the pg.

I think the others agreed with me it is a bit to early for this gal to know she is pg or not. Why you find joy in pointing out I was wrong about something this petty seeing you know I'm right!

So, on that note, Please stop pointing out I'm wrong about everything. I don't need your help, especially when I'm not wrong! The OP was asking for advice, maybe you can stick to giving them advice rather than going around policing mine!;)

The newer tests recently released measure a differnet hormone instead of hcg, so yes, a positive test 4 days early could be done 1 week after conception and if you notice I gave stats that indicated that only 63% tested positive 4 days early, that cannot be compared to your experience. I am not saying that it is or isn't true in OP's case because we have no facts, however your statement is wrong because almost 93% of women will test positive 2 days before with some but not all tests and you gave an absolute answer stating that it couldn't be done until after two weeks after a missed period.

One week pregnant is one week after the last menstrual cycle which is USUALLY before a woman even ovulates for the cycle. Which means without ovulation there is no egg for the sperm to fertilize. This guy needs to figure it out.

Not true. You can test a few days before your missed period and get an accurate positive result. Of course see my prior response. Pregnancy is dated from the first day of the last menstrual cycle. One week pregnant is one week after the last menstrual cycle. Four weeks pregnant is a month after the last menstrual cycle and when most women are expected to get their period (I say most because menstrual cycles are not always 28 days -- they can be anywhere from 21-35 days unless there is some medical reason why it is prolonged longer like PCOS, endometriosis or other problems).

Actually Halls you are wrong. YOu can know before 2 weeks after your missed period. Plain and simple you are wrong. Many of the most accurate tests detect levels of HCG as low as 25. Which is extremely early pregnancy. They are the most expensive of the home pregnancy tests but they are accurate and can detect pregnancy that early. You are correct that 4 days after a missed period does not match one week of pg. Based on the OPs dates if this girl is pg it is probably not his unless she is in very early pregnancy and her period is not due yet and she was ovulating the date he and she had sex. And not because of the comment about no penetration (many guys believe they didn't penetrate when they don't go all the way in and only the tip does) nor can this baby be the rapist's child if she was raped on July 6th and is pregnant now.

Even if it IS one week, so many spontaeous abortions (miscarriages) occur in the earliest part of a pregnancy, normally before a women would normally even KNOW she was pregnant, that being pregnant ONE week certainly, if true, may or may not mean she will carry to term.

I read it as that he didn't ejaculate. Many people do not realize that a pregnancy can occur just from preejaculate. Just another FYI for the OP. (I tried to do that without being to graphic)
