What is the name of your state? Vermont...ok my husband filed for bankruptcy in 2003. The house he owned before we got married, the loan was ONLY in his name. My husband did put me on the deed after we got married in case something happened to him. When he went bankrupt he also went bankrupt on the house and it was foreclosed. This was in August of 2003. That is when we moved. In the summer of 2004 I went to purchase a vehicle, I was refused. My credit was not good anyways due to a previous divorce. Anyways, my credit report showed my husband's bankruptcy and foreclosure on MY credit report. I must of called GMAC mortgage a number of times, but was sent in circles. I finally reported this to the credit bureau and they got it removed. This took a long time. After they fixed this, I got approved for my car 8 MONTHS LATER!! This was distressing. Now when checking my credit report it is still there! I am so frickin mad, anything now I can do to get this fixed???? This GMAC people are idiots to of done this. They said it was the credit reporting service's fault, I say NO they are the ones who sent it in, so logically it's their fault. One of the customer reps even said it was on my credit report because I was married to him when he filed for bankruptcy. Now what do I do? Thanks Faith
