I just moved to Tennessee about three months ago. I am from florida and don't know anything about rental laws here but.."I am in trouble!" I moved into this "trailer" and that is what it is.. only to find that the toilets wouldn't flush without the landlord coming out every day and snaking the pipes to the septic tank. It is winter now and I have a "so called" central heating unit.. This place Actually has floor vents! My problem is that .. Oh.. Never mind.. Can someone tell me if I can go to ANYONE here in "hickman county" middle tennessee,, and find help for the fact that.. I am NOW freezing to death and the landlord still says "so what".. I owe him this
weeks rent.. Even though the water pipes have been busted for two weeks and I am "freezing" to death..(temp in this place today was 26 degrees).. I am at a loss as to whether I am just stupid and should pay the rent or should I waste the energy to fight.. (I "AM" in Tennessee after all?)
Sincerly: God..It is COLD..Paul Mincey

Serve L with written notice that you are not paying rent until the conditions are resolved.

Search the State Resources link on this website and learn your rights as written in the L/T laws.

Signed,
Saint Luke

Thank You Saint Luke for your response.. As far as I have been told... There is no such thing as landlord..tenant..arbitrators..or written notification to landlords in this state.."can this Really be true?"
Sincerely: Paul Mincey

Come now my brothers and sisters and heed my warning, for the State Statutes are the law of the land. For all you non-believers, do not just listen to my sermon and wait for a sign. For you must go forth and seek and confirm the truth on your own.
You can choose to believe those pagans and non-worshipers who would rather make up and follow their own rules. Or choose to read the Supreme L/T Law of the Land.

And that's the word according to Luke. Now go forth and read the word. The truth is out there. Seek and you shall find.
