I have been off work for 4 weeks with shoulder surgery and my doc released me for light duty work! The problem is that I fix cars for living and I'm on commision, I do have an hourly rate but it's very low. My employer wants me to come back for my hourly on light duty. If I go back do I get compensated for money lost on my weekly amount that workers comp had been paying me? And do I have to take what ever jobs they want me to do in the company even if locations may be different than the store I mormaly work at?:( :(

"If I go back do I get compensated for money lost on my weekly amount that workers comp had been paying me?" If your curent TTD payments are based on your base pay plus comissions, if you are assigned to a lesser-paying job the WC carrier will make up the difference in pay, up to the level of your TTD benefit which was 85% of your regular or average weekly pay. You should confirm this with your employer and/or contact the claims analyst who is handling your claim at the insurance carrier just so everyone's on the same page on this.

"And do I have to take what ever jobs they want me to do in the company even if locations may be different than the store I mormaly work at?" Yes. If they offer you work within your restrictions and you refuse, all TTD benefits will be cut off and you will be without any income.
