What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL
A senior tailgated young thug and caused a collision. The thug went out of the car and started to beat up the senior. Another driver stopped by and beat up the thug with a club, preventing him to beat the senior, made some damage to the thugs car and fled the area.
In one of the Russian forums we had an argument about it and I said that in USA the "good Samaritan" would be arrested for assault, vandalism and fleeing from crime scene. Am I right?

There's a good chance the good samaritan MAY have created an assault, if using the club in that particular case was more than the least amount of force necessary to prevent the original assault.

In some cases though, the use of the club may have been justified.
