What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah

I am enrolled in a geriatric psychiatry graduate program in Utah. My tuition is paid in full. The graduate school promised job placement as part of the program, which is why I went to this school for this degree. I have had some issues with the professor who oversees this program in the past and now she is not placing me in a job, as the program promised. This has been going on for a while and now I am approximately 18 mos. behind my classmates because they are getting on-the-job experience...part of curriculum requirement.

How do I get the school to comply with their promise of job placement? This is becoming personal.

Thank you.

How was this promise made to you?

Did they promise/offer to assist you with job placement? or did they actually Guarantee to find you employment?

I've never heard of any school that guaranteed 100% job placement for its graduates.

I doubt you were guaranteed a job in this economy. All they can do is offer you the skills that will give you a better shot than others at getting a job. No one is going to tell an employer that they must hire you, just let them know that you're a good student, can do such and such well and deserve a shot at their company.

If you have problems with your professor, she may not want to alienate the target company (or companies) by forcing them to hire someone she may not think for whatever reason is suitable.

Why is this one prof the say-all-to-end-all?

What type of intstitution is it? A University?
