I have lived in the same townhome for the past years in Arizona. My original lease agreement states that I have dogs. In 1996 the HOA amended the CC&R'S and dis-allow any new pets. My landlord has given me an eviction notice to either remove my dog by May 1st or move out by May 1st. The HOA has indicated to him that My dog is not registered with them and is therefore not grandfathered into their current rules. Can my landlord evict me? If in fact there is no registration of my dog with the HOA can they require me to remove my dog even if I can prove legal non-conforming status? please help!
