my grandfather died earlier this month, my question regards my grandmother who is in a nursing home. This was a second marriage for both and his children are telling my dad that there is no money left to take care of her and do not want him to go into their house to get anything for her. they are telling my dad that the will won't be read for 30-90 days. Her nursing care is paid until the first week of november. What kind of legal help do we need to get in order to ensure she is cared for and how long should it take to hear a will in washington state?

The Will can be viewed immediately, and if your family wants to speed things upand do so, they can seek to have his widow named administrator as if there was no Will, and let the children bring it in. Any decent lawyer can help you resolve this and end the stonewalling.
