grandparent rights

does new york state have any grandparent rights? my friend feels that her grandchild may not be in a safe enviroment (possible abuse) and the other grandparent agrees. they want to know what options they may possibly have in getting the child out of the household and into one of theirs. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

How often do you get to see your grandchilren? If you suspect abuse document everything you see happening. Even if you think it may not be important, the lilttle things are what count.
