A question from Texas. My daughter-in-law is refusing to allow me to visit my grandchildren. Her and my son are seperated. At one time I seen my grandchildren everyday, and had them all weekend long many times. Up until 6 months ago, her family did not want anything to do with her or the children. I'm not clear on what the reason was. Now her family has decided to get involved in her life, and she has basically told me that she doesn't need me anymore, and to stay out of her life. Do I, as a grandparent, have any legal visitation rights. My son no longer lives in the area, so it's not like I can visit them through him.

The only way to get access to the children is for you to give your son a good kicking and for him to exercise court ordered visitation. You will be able to see the children during his visitation.
