What is the name of your state? Oklahoma

I'm asking this question on behalf of my fiance. He got sole custody with visitation at his discretion in July of this year. He allows the mother of his child to see her anytime she wants all she has to do is call first.

This last weekend he agreed to let his mother (childs grandmother) to have the child on Saturday night well the childs mother called on friday morning and asked if she could have her for the weekend. He was caught in a hard spot but had me call his mother (the grandmother) & tell her that the child was going with the mother instead of with her since mothers time with child is more important then grandparent time. His mother is now threatening to sue him for "grandparents visitations" since he didn't let her have the child for the night. There is no court order allowing the grandmother to have any form of visitation but she thinks she is the most important figure in her grandchilds life. She can come over any time & see her but chooses not to but expects him to let his child go with her anytime she wants.

Can she honestly sue him for a set visitation time even though he never has really denied her seeing the child just this last weekend when the mother wanted her?

She has 3 other grandchildren from me & him 1 blood & 2 "step" grandchildren. She never asks to spend time with them wouldn't this make a difference in the judges decision??

He is truely concerned that she is going to sue him. We already have enough problems and don't need anymore from her but he doesn't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

of course she can "sue" him. In this day and age, anyone can sue anyone for just about anything.

Whether or not she will win is a COMPLETELY different matter.

A judge would not be impressed with a grandmother who sues for visitation because dad gave the child's mother visitation instead of the grandmother on a particular weekend....
