What is the name of your state? California
My Grandfather passed away in 1984. His second wife did not ever probate his will. she became quite old and sick and was found by a social worker in her home in 2000. since then the court appointed several people to oversee her estate. When she was found she was not of sound mind. Two attorneys now 1- for personal and 1 for the estate conservators.1 person conservator and 1 estate conservator. full time care in her home. The estate of my grandfathers is still finding money, totaling over five million as late as 2005. He had a will stating all was to go to her, and he stated his children are not to recive anything. Can the state control this untill she dies, or can I as family (Grandson ) have any say in how the court has this set up? She has a will, but I don't know if she wrote it before the state found her or if the attorneys had her make one in 2000. She has a brother and two sisters in another state and seem to have too maney ties to come help her. They did not see her in over fifty years, but the attorneys are gifting them each year the legal amount for taxs. My grandmother told the attorneys that she didn't know that her husband any family. We were not included as living relitives, although there is a place to list this information in the probate proceeding. Any Help ?
