Grass and weed killer

I have a neighbor that is spraying a weed and grass killer on his chain link fence. The fence is right on the property line and I have bushes 2 foot away from where he is spraying. The grass is dying on my side of the fence and I am concerned it will kill my bushes and possibly my maple tree that is 1 foot from the line. I have him on video spraying. The biggest concern though is smelling this chemical while I was outside working. My throat burned that whole day after smelling this stuff. I do not use chemicals on my lawn and I don't want to have my yard or my health affected by someone else using them. What can I do about this....talking with the neighbor is not an option. He would do it more if it knew it bothered me.

Most of the non-specific herbicides on the market are glyphosates and don't kill bushes or trees.

Your "health" thing is typical hype from somebody angry at a neighbor. I'm guessing you have other issues that you can't resolve because "talking to the neighbor is not an option."

How often is he spraying? Once a month. I usually spray once a season with one or two more applications in areas that I missed the first time around.

Your allegation about odor is spurious. You don't have to smell it unless you are within a couple of feet of the spray.

If you don't want to confront your neighbor I suggest you put some sort of barrier on your side of the fence to keep the spray off your grass.

Meantime, if all you want to do is vent on the internet, nothing changes.

I suggest you check your city ordinances as some cities have restrictions on chemical sprays and spraying.

Lol! I have not focused much on the date, as I become blind folded whenever it comes to the potent weed killers.

don't know how it came up in front me for no reason. I'm new to this forum, and was just wandering and thought why not to contribute a little bit. I would definitely try to avoid reviving old threads and would be much more focused about the dates

Good. On this forum, looking at the posting date is important. Also important is only adding to a post if you have state-specific, legally relevant information.

Unfortunately, the notice only appears before the first necropost, so others might come along and add to the old revived thread.

I think in the case of this thread, it is probably safe to say that “dragonfly92” has already resolved his issue with his weed and grass killing neighbor.
