Green Card Still eligible?????

Here's the Scenerio... My Fiance received a green card from a previous marriage. In 1996, she went back to Japan for 5 years, and has recently returned on a tourist VISA. Her expiration date on green card is April of next year. Is she still eligible for renewal? What other advice can you offer in this situation.

Probably not. Since she has been out of the US for more than 24 months then she is considered to have abandoned her residency in the US. She will probably have to start all over again. She should consult with an immigration attorney to be 100% sure.
