I was sent home from work and told to get help. I was then diagnosed with depression. I was receiving payments from my employers group insurance carrier. During this time, I had to continue seeing the drs, and taking evaluation tests, which I did. At one point, the ins. co. even spoke to both drs. over the phone regarding my case. One month after the phone conversation, I get a letter stating I no longer meet their "criteria" for a "disabled" person, tho both drs. told them I was certainly not ready to return to work, and that I needed more therapy. In the meantime, my employers called me to come into the office, where they told me they were letting me go. I was terminatied. My Insureace carried on for a bit, then they deemed me ineligible, and stopped payments, regardless of the Dr.s report of my continued disablement. I cannot find a lawyer that will handle this case, mostly cause I am not sure what type of case it is.. it is NOT a SSI case, which is what most attys. assume. Can anybody help? thanks

How long had you been out of work? What size is your employer (# of employees)? How long had you worked for them?
