ok here's the gist of it. I'm 18 yrs old..was 17 the time this happened. I was playing in a band with my best friend James and I was having trouble at home. James was 19 at the time. I moved out of my home and in with james and his parents. In the 2 months I was living there they bought a guitar for me with the agreement that I would pay them $200 a month untill it was paid. Not 1 week after I left there they were calling my house asking me for cash when I got paid. They came to my work. I'm talking about James and his brother Kris. Well it turns out that they held my guitar (one I owned when I moved in) and the one I eventually paid Kris for (the one they bought me). I have paid for the guitar that I KRIS bought and James is holding it...I have not recieved it yet. Do I have any rights to this guitar? I might add that I do owe james some cash but he has been reluctant to give me any idea of what I owe him. I was wondering how might I do in small claims court with this case. If anyone has any tips please post back or email me at [email protected]. I'd be happy to answer any questions if I wasn't clear enough for any of you.

Also the value of the guitars were $389.00 for the one that they bought me and approx $400 for the one that I owned and brought with me when I moved in with them. Please post back with any questions or tips you might have. I've never had to deal with court or anything so any advice you can give would be very appreciated.

Sincerely,

Metaldude
