I signed a contract with a continuing month to month renewal. I fell behind on the payments, but still remained a member according to the contract. To terminate membership required a certified cancellation. The Gym refused to allow me access during this time. The contract does not specifically state I have to be current with my balance in order to use the facilities. When I attempted to remedy this the gym was very clear that I should "read my contract" for all question. I feel under these terms I was a member according to their "contract" regardless of my payment status and they subsequently denied me service for those months. There is no metion of balance or payment delinquence other than mention of returned check fees. They are attempting to collect a payment for these months and other fees associated with them. Since I was not allowed access would I have grounds for disputing this debt?

Thank You,
Branden Allmon

My response:

We'd like to assist you; however, you apparently didn't see that red writing up at the top of the page. Without your State name, or the name of the State where the problem happened, it would be difficult to assist you. Laws are different everywhere.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to you editing your post.
