H1B Visa Cancellation

Dear Lana,

I have a H1B Visa sponsored by my current company. This visa is valid till July 2006. I would like to transfer my visa to another company.

I am not sure, if my current employer will cancel my H1 Visa. Pls let me know as to how long will it take to cancel H1B visa. Is this a long procedure for the company.

If the employer wishes to cancel your visa, this is accomplished by a very brief letter to the USCIS requesting the withdrawal/revocation of the approved H-1B petition, citing to the case receipt number.

Hi,
I wanted to know as to how long does the USCIS take to complete the cancellation of the H1 B visa after filing an application to cancel the visa? Does it take a couple of days or weeks?

Also whats the cost of cancellation of the visa?
