while we were under contract, and after inspection, a hail storm damaged the siding/roof/gutters on the home. we asked sellers if home was damaged. they said that only some branches fell from trees. we did not notice damage during walkthrough, only after we moved in.

we asked the sellers to file a property claim. they did but it was denied by their carrier, stating that they 'no longer had an insurable interest in the property'.

what are our options from here? any help would be appreciated.

Depending on the type of coverage, their insurance company may be correct but check with your own insurance agent.
