What is the name of your state? CA

I am not scheduled to work Friday night. My employer called me and asked me to cover the shift. I had plans that did not allow me to work at this time. Two different managers repeatedly ask me what I was doing in my personal time that did not allow me to cover the shift. This happens everytime I am not able to cover someone else's shift. They make it very akward for me to say no to them. I want some law or regulation that I can show to them regarding this 'harassment' and ask them to stop. I am not a salaried employee.

thanks,

I want some law or regulation that I can show to them regarding this 'harassment' and ask them to stop. There is no such law and this does not remotely consitute any form of prohibited harassment.

Does your employer require or expect employees to cover a shift when someone else can't work? Do you routinely or more frequently than others decline to cover other shifts? It could be that the managers don't understand or accept that you can't work and don't think "you are pulling your load." Nonetheless, as noted, asking you why you can't work isn't illegal harassment.
