What is the name of your state? TX

Hello. This is a somewhat multi-part question, so please bear with me.

A former relative of ex-husband has made a complaint with police in another county accusing ME of harassment, when I am the one being harassed! I will call the police detective back on Monday and find out what the specifics are. However, basically, in a nutshell:

I posted in her message board that I would not recommend her for <the service she supposedly does> because she is irresponsible and completely incompetent. She deleted the message (which contained the issues stated specifically, no cursing or expletives>. She and her friends then went on a campaign of email and phone harassment against me. Very abusive cursing, etc., still failing to address my issues. I saved all these emails. I also saved her harassing messages on my voicemail. I then in no uncertain terms told her not to ever call or write me again, and changed my email address (in bold print mind you).

Everything was quiet until I found out that she still had some copyright pictures of mine up on a web page she created on myspace.com. I asked her nicely to remove them.

I then found out that she was applying for a few new professional groups in which would go with a team into an unknowing client's house and perform this supposed service she performs. She is registered felon because of credit card fraud; she even had her own child in prison. When I informed these groups, they forwarded her my email and that's when she decided to file this complaint of harassment; even though it's true what I told them. However, I have *not* written her any more emails except the one requesting removal of the copyrighted pictures; nor have I called her! She just went ballistic when she found out I had reported her to these groups, who ask that people not have criminal records.

She then called me twice this last Thursday, and screamed at me on the phone, and I hung up. I can avail myself of these phone records if needed. I *did* tell her in email about two weeks ago to NEVER call or write me again. Then she emailed me AGAIN and gave me the complaint number and phone number of the detective. It's all ridiculous, but nevertheless makes me very distressed.

Any advice?

It sounds like you are both guilty of harassment and of defamation and that you should both leave the other person alone.
