It's a short question.

What can i legally do when someone is haressing me on the internet?
Think of: haressing emails and information on someone's website.

Thanks in advance!

You don't say where you're located which is important in that some states have laws directly relating to internet harassment and some don't.

One thing you could do is simply not read e-mail from this person and not go the the web site. Is what's bring said just bothersome to you, or is it other people reading it that concerns you?

If what is posted on the web site is untrue there might be the option of suing civilly for libel, though if true, that's not an option.

It might help if we knew a bit more of the specifics.

Re your answer on harrassment: Is what your saying, if everything that is being said is true and verifiable there is really nothing one can do? I've been told that if all the facts are true there is NO libel or slander, you can't sue someone for telling or writing the truth. Is this true or not?

I can't recall where this statement came from, but here it is anyway:

--Establishing the truth is the single most effective defense that can be offered. If the remark is truthful and it "hurts", is embarrassing, or subjects you to ridicule, there is little you can do unfortunately, unless the remark is false, you have no recourse.--

As in all areas of the law I'm sure there are exceptions, but as a general rule the above applies. Comments and opinion are 'safe' too so long as they are just that.
