No matter where you are in the US, no state will emancipate a minor who has a child of their own.

You turn 18. Or, in a few states, 19.

The chances of a minor who already has a child of their own qualifying for emancipation, if your state even allows it (not all states do) are so slim that you can't even see them without a microscope.

As a general rule, emancipation is an option available only to those minors who can demonstrate their ability to support themselves (have a job), provide for their own needs (food and shelter), and make appropriate, rational and reasonable adult decisions on their own.

By allowing yourself to become pregnant and have a child before you became an adult, that kind of blew the whole thing for you there.

**A: what state are you in? Oh, in that state there is no automatic emancipation just for having a child.

We do need the state.

I think an important question is this: What do you hope to accomplish by being emancipated?
