What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI
I am currently going threw a divorce. I could not afford an attorney and my husband fought me every step, because he did not want a divorce. He went out his way to make sure we suffered where instead of fighting he could have actually saved money by not staying constantly in court. However, the judge could not believe he was fighting me so but actually treated me bad because I didn't have a lawyer. Now we are down to the point where the judgement of divorce is required, but his attnorny has not contacted me or filed it with the judge. Can I file my own? None of our disputes have been worked out. And if last minute his att. Throwsone together can I dispute it? How?

i'm going to be honest. it's always best to have an attorney when you are doing something you have no idea what you are really doing. and i'd imagine most judges don't like catering to pro se litigants that want to be treated like an attorney but don't know the rules or codes of law.

you need to veiw your courts rules of procedures and the civil code held within your courtroom. unfortunately, since none of us have read your particular court room, there is no way to say for sure.
