2011, dad had DPOA and POA done at the same time with notary. got a copy from notary of POA along with the journal of the signing. why would the signature on the notary copy not match identically to the copy in the trust document? plus, dad NEVER signed his full entire name.

Regardless, for it to really matter there has to be some issue that stems from an invalid poa. Care to elucidate?

Also, 2011 was a long time ago. The statute of limitations can bar many actions against a person after the time expires. Unless this involves something more recent than 2011, it’s quite possible it’s too late to do anything now.

Are you saying that you got a copy of the POA from the notary? It would be highly unusual for a notary to keep a copy of the documents that s/he notarizes. Is the notary a total stranger to you and dad?
