I was involved in a road rage incident. The side of my car was damaged when a truck drove up onto the shoulder of the road and swerved into me. When the man pulled over he threatened me with violence and refused to give me insurance information. The police were called but there were no witnesses to the incident. The policed requested that the man provide information for an incident report and he complied, saying that I was at fault. I have filed a claim with his insurance company and I am expecting a call from an adjuster. I am sure the other driver will claim to his insurance company that I was at fault. What, if any, are my options?

It is tough when the other side lies. One thought that I have is taking photos of the roadway, get estimates and be prepared to go to small claims court. Make sure to put your own insurance carrier on notice also as the other driver will likely file a claim against you. good luck.

Thanks for your reply Lars.
The damage to my car was not significant, but here's the thing... this A__Hole went out of his way to endanger my life and damage my car. I would not pursue this issue any further but for this fact. This guy has no right being on the road. It's unfortunate that there were no witnesses to this act, and I know there is probably nothing I can do, but, if there is any recourse, please advise.
Thanks.

In the absence of witnesses, you really have no recourse. Normally, reckless driving is a criminal offense and the state (the people) press charges. But as there were no witnesses, nothing will be done.
