Ok sorry let me try it this way.

my daughters mother has temp custody.
6 weeks ago before the seperation I prepared healthy familys Health care application and asked her to mail it .she did not
we are now in a custody dispute and my daughter has no health care.
I represented this fact to her attorney on 7/18 and he said she had singned uo for blue cross.
I dont believe this is true.
I have in the meantime resubmitted the healthy familys application and just need her pay stubs to finilise the application.
On 7/20 I asked her attorney to provide proof of my daughter having health care.
He has not .I want to address this in a more legal way and get it infront of the court asap
as I believe my daughter has been disadvantaged and put at risk by her mothers actins in delaying her health care coverage . also ther is substantial cost difference and I am not willing to pay for private if we can get good insc through the govt.
thanx.

So in other words, you are to cheap to pay for insurance so you want all of us to pay it for you.

First of all, since MOM has custody, you have no right to sign the child up for government assistance.

If anyone is putting the child at risk with their actions, it's YOU. There is no such thing as "good insurance through the GOVERNMENT". The GOVERNMENT would be paying the bills with MY money and money from all of the other upstanding, tax-paying Americans. Considering the fact that I am the one paying for all of the health care costs, including insurance, for MY children out of MY pocket, what in the hell makes you think that I should pay for YOUR children too? I'll make you a deal, I'll pay for your child's insurance just as soon as you pay for my children's food, clothing and school supplies. How's that sound to you?

OP, the other posters do have a point.. however, you need to either get a written statement from your ex or her attorney stating that mom is insuring the child. If this goes to court and you are actually able to provide private health insurance and just don't want to because you think it costs too much then chances are good that the judge might not rule in your favor. It is government assistance for the people that NEED it not the people that are unwilling to pay for the private insurers.

The REAL question is, why should WE pay for YOUR child's healthcare while YOU straighten up YOUR mess?
