Hi!
My husband was injured on his job, an injury to the back of his shoulder from lifting heavy tires . In the process of medical care he was diagnosed w/spondylosis. His case was settled w/out any further medical benifits. Will our hmo cover him for further treatments?
I,m from California,
Thanks for any help.

The job related injury is covered by Workers Compensation.

If he has other medical conditions that are NOT job related but are covered by your HMO, it should cover those conditions.

In rare cases the HMO and Workers Comp carrier fight over which one should pick up which costs, but that should be between them, and not you, except to the extent there may be limits or deductibles involved, or choices of doctor or hospital.
