I am in Ohio. I just recently changed health ins carriers, to support a long time friend. When selling me the policy she did not mention nor do I have any reference in the material that I received about the 270 day waiting period before conceiving a child. We became pregnant after signing up and before receiving an official copy of our policy. Insurance co is denying coverage for our child. Is the Agent responsible for the difference that I have to pay due to the 65% load another carrier is placing on us for pre-existing cond. $4200.00 approx. In her words it is as much of a shock to her as myself.

What's the question? My sense is that is why agents USUALLY carry errors and omissions insurance.
