I live in Texas.

What happens if:

I begin treatment for a condition while employed, then transition to Cobra.

The condition has not been cured and is still being treated after the 18 month period for Cobra runs out.

Who pays?

Unless at the end of your 18 months of COBRA you pick up another insurance policy, you do. The insurance will NOT be required to continue paying after the COBRA runs out just because the condition began while the policy was in force.
