What is the name of your state? Illinois . Since last April I have been seeing a therapist on an outpatient basis. I have Individual cvg. Now, my Dr. has received a letter stating that Magellan Health Svcs has been authorized by my insurance Co to administer it*s Managed Mental Health Program and it is only going to cover 8 sessions in a 6 month period backdated to Feb 10. Since I go twice a week the 8 sessions are already used. No notification was giving to me and I*m wondering what steps I should take to get this changed? Thank you

Read the policy or certificate or plan description booklet if it is an employer plan, and see if this limitation -- or any other limitations or approval or coordination requirements -- were in the fine print. If it is you are likely out of luck in terms of entitlement to reimbursement.
