tennessee. plumbers and pipefitters union has always provided insurance for all employees of perma pipe. including ins. for those who are not members of union. the company pays a per hour/per worker fee to union. recently union said it would no longer provide ins. unless person was member. i have heard that tn law says that everyone in a company that has union must provide same treatment of all employees even those not members. Is it legal for union to stop providing ins coverage unless a person becomes a member?
