from texas. my child support order reads ex is to keep and maintain at all times in full force & effect major medical and health insurance coverage on each and every child subject of this suit,
through such group plan as is available through his current employer and all subsequent employers or to convert to an individual plan if unemployed & was ordered to to provide coverage equal to or exceeding the coverae at the time employment was terminated. to furnish copies of renewals or changes in said policy within 15 days after such renewal or change and to provide me with copies of insurance cards. He has never done so and refuses to reimburse me for the medical coverage I have provided for the children. HELP. Am I able to collect ($12,000) from him from date of that order if he has NEVER provided health insur or attempted to do so????

My response:

Sure.

Haul him back into court on an "Order to Show Cause Re: Contempt of Court." The judge will listen to his excuses, and then either fine him, and / or throw him in jail for his "contempt." Then, the judge will convert the Order concerning his insurance reimbursement into a "judgment." Then, you are free to do whatever it takes to collect on that judgment - - that is, provided he hadn't paid you before he goes to jail.
