What is the name of your state? FL

Is it illegal to post private information about someone as well as make false allegations / on a public forum to look to kill someone’s reputation?

Is there any legal action I can do towards the admin / host?

Please let me know, thanks.

some personal info is private, but names, address, etc is public info.
Let me guess, craigslist guy is badmouthing you on craigslist?
that's ok.

Oh no, not that at all.

I've got a buddy who I am working with who is ex wife is posting on a 'ex boyfriend' forum slandering his name.

Phone numbers, mug shots, addy - also trashing a good name.

probably not unless she is putting his social security number on there or something. those sites are all over the place. If people were getting sued, they'd be shut down real quick. Name, address, phone, her experience with him- all public info.
