Help 2nd mortage transfered account after BK.

I really need help here. I was Discharged of this debt second mortgage several months back. I received a letter saying my account has been sold to another lender. I understand that this is considered a secured debt. But can they legally do this. Now I will have more dings on credit report.

Did you give up the property ?

If so, then you have NO liability for the debt, regardless of who owns the loan - its been discharged.

If you still retain the property, and did not reaffirm, then you're on the hook if you haven't been paying for it.
