What is the name of your state? Arizona.
I have a 17 year old brother that recently got into trouble. He has never been in trouble before, this is his first offense. I need to know what to be prepared for and what could happen. My little brother and 2 of his friends stole a Jeep. They got caught. My brother was the lookout while the other 2 hotwired it. When caught, they were arrested. He was brought home. He is being charged with Burglary 3, for stealing the Jeep, possession of drug paraphernalia, for having a marijuana pipe in his bag, breaking curfew, since it was the middle of the night, and I think theft transportation, it says ThftTrns as count 4. He is set to go to court in a week. I know they will provide him with an attorney since we cannot afford one, but what can I expect? He will be 18 in July. Could they charge him as an adult? Also, since this is his first time, will he be sent Juvenile hall, or could he just receive probation and fines or community service. I am very aware what he did was seriouse, I just need help knowing what consequences we can be expecting. Thank you.
