What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana. My son is on disability. His wife is 8 months pregnant. He has a mobile home on a lot in a "resort" community in Franklin Co., IN. The board is trying to stack fines up so he loses his home. They are harrassing him & making it impossible for him to do the things he has to do. They've told him he has 2 weeks to put up "acceptable" underpinning (he had some but they said it wasn't good enough) and to get rid of a travel trailer that was sitting on his property. 2 weeks isn't enough time. We have to find underpinning someone can afford & then install it. Then we have to figure out what to do with the trailer. If he starts tearing it down, they'll say it's a nuisance. They also said he has to file a demotion permit before he tears it down - huh? Also, they said if he tries to tow it through the facility they'll have him arrested because it's not road worthy. Please help!!!!! I'm in Alabama. I don't know anything about resources in Indiana & I've never dealt with anything like this. I also don't have money to help him.

It sounds like the association is just trying to enforce their bylaws. While I empathize with your situation, the best advice is for your son to follow the bylaws that he agreed to when he moved into the community.
