I wasn't sure if I should put this under this subject, if I was wrong please let me know.

What is the name of your state? Michigan
My son is going to a community college in Ironwood Michigan. Automotive Classes. He is being harrassed by other students and teacher. Tools are stolen all the time, even today a new $50.00 impact set. Teacher does nothing about it. Says my son has just misplaced things. Teacher has even verbally threatened Son, that if he goes to the police(like his dad and I told him to do) about the stealing, that it will make things harder for son in these classes.
My son does have ADHD but has been doing pretty good in this class.

Son has very little money, job is small but something. I am looking into getting him an Attorney, I think he should qualify for legal aid, I hope.
Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We want the harrassing to stop, the stealing of his tools to stop. For the teacher to shape up or go over his head. I don't know, we just want him to get a good education without the hassel of what is going on.

I really want to know what his legal rights are here.

I don't know what difference it makes but he has finacial aid. Some grants I think but mainly loans and then some comes out of pocket too.

Then tell him to file a formal WRITTEN complaint of the harrasment with the school and copy the state department of labor.

Then take him to the police station and file a theft report.

We don't know if your son is 18, but I'll assume he's capable of handling his legal affairs. As far as becoming a mechanic/auto technician, this is the FIRST lesson every mechanic learns: LOCK UP YOUR TOOLS!

If he can't do that, even while he is working on a vehicle, he will never survive in a shop.

You didn't define the "harassment".
