What is the name of your state? California

I am being sued for filling a complaint with a private club for the behaivor of one of its officers. I filled a written report to its leader & no one else has seen it. It was read at a special meeting of which the other party refused to attend, but was excluded from the minutes. The officer was suspended and is now sueing me for slander and libel. Is there any special privilages for the organization?
