What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida.

We are getting divorce but I want to strecht the process since I am not sure yet. I am leaving the country for four months to study my master abroad. Before we got marry I signed a paper staying that whatever belongs to him stays with him, we do not anything together except for a bank account with almost nothing on it, if I want to strecht the divorce, should I take him out of the bank account, since he wants me to take him out today. Please help. T

Also, if I am out of the country for four months, can he divorce me without my signature? How long will that process take?

Thank you

How unfair of you to selfishly leave your spouse hanging like this. Does your STBX spouse feel the same way?

I though this website was for professional lawyers. I am not wasting my time with someone that is not professional on what he does. Can anyone who takes his profession seriously help me please?

Not to mention, of course, that OP's attempts to drag the process out to keep her stbx on the hook while she gallivants across Europe isn't particularly ethical in the first place.

Not to mention, of course, that we don't help people do unethical things. ;)

Does that make us "unprofessional," or indicate that we don't take the law or our professions "seriously"? :p
