Help me/ILOVEPINK/GA no longer allows pregnant minors to marry w/out parental consent

Your threads are locked so I couldn’t reply, but just an FYI for you or anyone else who has questions about this, the GA governor signed a bill into law last week which included a provision that eliminates the 'minors are allowed to marry without parental consent if they are pregnant or have given birth' loophole. So it's no longer allowed.

Yeah, I'm sure there are teenagers that think it's a pity As a parent, I think it should have happened LONG ago

As a parent, I would be more concerned with teenage pregnancy, than teenage marriage, but that's just me, apparently at that point, there are alot of things they are already getting done without "permission".

I guess this elimates the, "but we love each other soooo much and want to be together forever, so we'll have a baby just so we can get married!"

Or maybe not.

and "forever" means 1 year.
