What is the name of your state? Texas
I have a 16yr old child that has Cerebral Palsy, I need to know if I need to file for Power of Attorney or Legal Guardianship. If there are any parents out there that have gone through this I would appreciate your input. Thank you

When your 16 yr. old turns 18, then file for guardianship. Parents are natural guardians of their minor children.
