Due to the fault of the car dealership our 1998 leased pickup truck fell off the lift while we had it in for warranty work. Would we be out of line to get them to replace our truck with another? We would assume a new lease of course but the problem being the lease on our current truck is not up yet. Our truck was not totalled but did incure some pretty extensive damage including a bent frame.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Since it was the mechanic's negligence, I would try to get them to replace the leased vehicle AND pay off the first Or have them bargain with the leasing company. All in all, either way, you should get a newer vehicle and continue payments as if nothing happened (on the new one not the old).

Hope this helps.
